The Assam combines traditional Japanese cast iron teapot design with the modern functionality of a built-in tea press for convenient daily use. Simply place your loose tea leaves in the strainer, pour in hot water and press down the plunger when you wish to stop the brewing process. The inside of this elegant teapot is lined with a smooth, durable vitreous enamel coating. Not designed for stovetop use.
