The Espressione Caffe Novecento offers stunning old-world styling reminiscent of machines found behind the counter at an Italian cafe, combined with professional features and performance for an espresso machine that is sure to please. The heavy chrome plated brass portafilter is equipped with a Thermocream System which produces consistent brewing results with nice crema from a variety of ground coffee grades and fineness. A powerful 15 BAR pump insures proper brewing pressure when you pull the lever and the 1000 watt boiler provides a quick warm-up time of less than two minutes with an ample supply of steam to froth milk for cappuccino and latte. Additional features of the Caffe Novecento include a chrome plated metal housing, lever style steam valve, extra portafilter designed to accept ESE espresso pods, a 35 oz. removable water tank and a retro-style top mounted boiler temperature gauge. Also includes single/double shot ground coffee filter basket, plastic tamper and coffee scoop.

It works as well as any GOOD expresso machine, and looks so cool in my (single guy) kitchen. The handles are actually valve controls (fool proof), and the left one for coffee has a position for drip-stop. The heat gauge on top really works perfect (I have checked it) and makes more sense than a 'ready' light. Are you getting my drift yet?... "less things to go wrong!" The coffee holder has dimples on it so it will not fall out when you dump the used coffee out! ! My morning espresso is now more fun each day. This is an 'above par machine'.
