Espresso Tampers

A quality espresso tamper is essential for the professional barista or anyone serious about the art of brewing espresso. Espresso tampers are used to "tamp" or compress the fine ground coffee in your espresso machine filter basket which is required to produce authentic espresso, rich and thick with crema. Ideally, a properly sized and designed coffee tamper is just slightly smaller than the filter basket inside diameter and provides a comfortable, secure grip in your hand for exerting the required downward pressure.
