Reagan on 8/12/2010, said: "removable" silicone gasket and "falls off and won't stay on" silicone gasket are pretty much synonymous with these canisters. Since these containers are used by our frequent bean purchasers, we have had to send out the canisters without the seal entirely. It sort of defeats the air-tight seal purpose of such a canister.
