Stovetop espresso makers or "moka" pots are a true European tradition, quickly brewing an extremely rich, full-flavored coffee on your stovetop. These pots are not percolators, rather they actually brew under a mild pressure, forcing hot water up from the base through ground coffee then into the top carafe for serving. Coffee from stovetop pots generally tastes very similar to espresso from electric pump machines; however, typically without crema due to a lower brewing pressure.
