Neapolitan Coffee Makers

In contrast to its Italian sounding name, the Neapolitan Brewer owes its creation to a Frenchman named Morize in 1819. This classic brewer has been especially popular in Italy, however, and creates its coffee by uniquely utilizing the process of gravity to extract flavor from the beans; for that reason, this coffee maker is often referred to as the Flip-Drip brewer. Coffee can be made by adding water to one half of the pot, and placing a finely ground coffee mixture into the metal filter basket. The pieces are then screwed together to be placed over a compatible stovetop. After reaching a full boil, the brewer can be removed from the stove and should then be flipped over so that hot water can drip through to the ground coffee producing a deliciously rich and flavor filled brew.
