Good Value - Great Grnd
JHR
Works as it should. Great espresso grinder - super fine, super consistent. Great moka and drip grinder. You can do Turkish grind on lowest setting. This will choke an espresso machine, so it has enough latitude to grind espresso well, and even go too far, so you know you have the full range of espresso ginds available. My example is more than 5 years old. The original burrs are still good, but I am now grinding on 1 or 2, whereas it I used 3 or 4 when it was new. Replacement parts are available so it is a huge long term value. Be gentle with the doser handle, and it will last a lifetime. It is easy to press up or down while you swipe sideways, and this can make it jam. NOT hard to use. NOT a problem. Just swipe straight across horizontally and it will work well and last forever.
Super Duper

I have used the Gaggia MDF grinder with a Gaggia Classic espresso machine for near four years with excellent commercial grade results. Durable. Consistent. Reliable. Setting No. 2 or 3 (possibly 4 - depending on the characteristics of the beans) makes a proper, commercial grade, quality shot. Makes the daily grind a real pleasure. No worries and extremely satisfied, I will purchase another if it ever wears out. Just MY take... your mileage may vary ... JHR
GAGGIA MDF - BEST VALUE GRINDER UNDER $250
TNCOFFEEFAN
This a great grinder for the money. Comes highly recommended as a best buy for the under $250 category. Semi-commercial grade flat burr grinder. Automatic dosing allows a pre-measured amount of ground coffee for a portafilter. Pull the lever once for one cup of espresso, or twice for two cups. Precision-machined grinding burrs. 34 different levels of fineness. The bean hopper holds 10 ounces of coffee beans. Outperforms several competitors going for up to $500.
