Good with two, no three, problems
I have been using the six cup version for many years now (about 6 or 7 I think) and it does a good job. It is sturdy and I have it timed to the second how long until the coffee will come out so I can use an electronic timer and not face burned coffee. I do have two problems with this. First is that it can be difficult sometimes to put it together. The threads don't always line up properly and sometimes they get stuck. There are times when I will use a few drops of oil (olive or other) on the threads and also put a little bit on the rubber gasket and that makes it easier. Related to this is that I have to be very careful not to allow any coffee to be on the top rim when I put the thing together. If there are grains of ground coffee there there it is highly likely that the thing will leak as brewed coffee passes up into the top receptacle. It gets out past the gasket, dribbles or flows down the side of the base and burns in the flame below. It sometimes makes a big mess on top of the stove. The last problem is that sometimes the coffee bubbles out with such force from the tube at the very top that it also spills out on the stove from the top. This does not always happen. You might think that it's because I have overfilled the base with too much water but i really don't think so.
Excellent product! Great quality! 100% Made in Italy
Ilsa Turbo Express is all that you need for that espresso fix you crave. One of the few remaining quality 100% stainless steel (made in Italy) moka pots out there. You and your guests will not be disappointed.
Delicious coffee and durable espresso maker

I've had this for over a year now and I'm happy with it's construction and the way my coffee tastes. My husband and I both drink espresso with milk (6oz-8oz cup) and we got the larger one for when we get guests or just want more. It has a little filter if you want to make less coffee, so that helps to save your grinds. Best investment.
Ilsa Turbo gets it done
We have had an Ilsa Turbo 9 cup maker for about a year now and we love it! It was a little leaky at the seal when new, but after the first couple of weeks the seal seated better and it has worked great ever since. One of the big problems with moka pots designs is the tendency for the handles to break off, but the Turbo's handle is welded tight and has withstood a year of daily use with no issues. The bare metal handle can get hot when it is placed over a gas burner, but we just set ours a little off center to keep the handle away from the flames and it stays cool enough to pick up. We like moka pot brewed coffee best, and the Ilsa delivers every morning!
Great Espresso Maker

The Ilsa espresso maker is wonderful: it's well-made, sturdy, and easy to use. I looked for a very long time to find one that was actually made in Italy out of durable materials, and not made from aluminum. This has gone beyond my expectations, and the coffee is great.
Excellent no frills moka pot
Old Pete
This is a very sturdy, simple stainless steel moka pot. The metal, and construction of the pot are very good. I personally prefer the all metal, welded handle because I've had others with plastic handles that eventually failed because of exposure to heat over time. The design allows relatively easy cleaning, without a deep lip around the top of the lower portion that some of the fancier, more appearance oriented designs have. Perhaps most importantly, the Ilsa Turbo makes great coffee. Espresso Zone is a nice company to deal with and their prices are good.
